Dedicated Surgical Suite

We have a dedicated surgical suite that lends itself to a comprehensive asepsis protocol. We can film all surgery for medical legal and teaching purposes. Dentists are encouraged to attend the surgery for inspection. Referring dentists can also attend to assist in their patient’s surgical procedures.

Referral Protocol

Once treatment is completed you will be always referred back to your dentist for routine care.

Types of Referral

Type 1 — For dentists who want to refer for implants

Patient who want an implant opinion or the dentist feels that an implant opinion is required. The patient will be seen free of charge for a one hour consultation. Any X-rays taken will be free and the patient will be given all treatment alternatives, risks /benefits and all possible fees associated with future treatment.
The referring dentist will fill in the referral form — any X-rays taken will be appreciated.
Dentists can attend with their patients. Dr Soni has an arrangements with some surgeries where he can attend their surgery for the consultation— this is possible with several block bookings. Please contact Michele on 020 3292 0580 or 0800 328 1933. For further info.

Type 2 — for dentists who want to restore implants.

Dentists who have attended a restorative implant course and do not want to surgically place implants but want to restore implants can work in tandem with Dr Soni. He will advise whether the case is suitable. The implant will be placed and the referring dentist can restore the case. Dr Soni has a free in-house training course for dentists who want to restore implants. This is with Dentsply Friadent using the Ankylos system. The dentist will attend an evening course, receive 3 CPD hours and receive a free prosthetic kit on restoring their first implant— usual cost 275 pounds. Where implants have been loaded immediately the dentist will simply remove the temporary and perform usual crown and bridge work— Dr Soni will provide assistance on the appropriate occlusion. With experience larger case can be performed in the same manner. Please fill the appropriate referral form or contact Michele on 020 3292 0580 for further information.

Type 3 — For dentists who want to place their own implants

Dr Soni has mentored several dentists in implant placement. Once an appropriate training course has been completed Dr Soni can help the dentist in his first few cases. This will include treatment planning, asepsis, team organisation, initial implant placement, leading to more complicating bone and sinus grafting. Usually after 10-15 appropriate cases the dentist will be able to see patients at his own clinic.
We can then help in surgery set-up and dentist’s personal team training.
FEES will apply on an individual basis and discussed before hand.
There will be no fee for joint treatment planning if the patient attends with the dentist.

A patient should be referred earlier than later to preserve bone and associated periodontium. This means before the tooth is extracted. It is usually better to provide palliative relief like an extirpation and then refer the patient. Mukesh will be more than happy to co-diagnose at any time.

We will soon be having in house training sessions for dentists wanting to restore but not surgically place the dental Implant.

If you are happy with the service we offer, please tell all your friends and colleagues. If you are unhappy for some reason, please let us know first so we can make things better.
